About the role

This position is an on-campus, part-time, up-to 19-hour appointment based in Champaign, Illinois. Hourly Rate is between $19.54 - $20.70 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid with classroom instruction.
• Prepare laboratory materials.
• Distribute course materials.
• Complete forms in accordance with department procedures; submit reports and other materials as required.
• Operate office equipment, such as copiers, PCs, and/or phone systems.
• Work independently and efficiently.
• Assist with special projects and events.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting.
• Communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting.
• Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, communicate changes in work schedule in advance.
• Appropriate attire as discussed for the work environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

The position requires the ability to work independently from written or verbal instructions and work well with instructors. Applicants must be willing to undergo a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting.
