Classroom Facilitator

About the role

Fostering an environment of care, belonging, and achievement in your classroom of students by welcoming students each morning, setting the vision and tone for the school day, and encouraging students to stay on-task throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Take attendance and has students in seats ready to learn
• Proctor district benchmark testing
• Ensures distraction-free learning environment through classroom management, active monitoring, monitoring for academic integrity
• Meet and confer with Stride teacher of record as needed virtually
• Maintain a safe and productive learning environment by monitoring students in the classroom to ensure they are working on daily work
• Prints/makes copies as needed
• Attend any parent virtual meetings with synchronous teacher if needed and add notes into SISK12
• Enters grades/comments/discipline info into SISK12
• Attends IEP meetings in person and provide input
• Provides copies of IEP accommodations to remain in compliance

Requirements

• Substitute Certification

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic job-related equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally, including presentations
• Self-motivated
• Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances and a diverse group of individuals
• Passionate about improving urban public education and devoted to making a difference
