About the role
GAMUT Behavioral Services is looking for motivated, passionate educators to support and work with students in the school setting as Behavior Technicians. Our learners have a variety of social and behavioral challenges so a true passion for this work is a must!
Responsibilities
- Implementing the individualized goals designed and maintained by a special education teacher and/or BCBA
- Gathering quantifiable data necessary for the teacher and/or BCBA to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan in achieving goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in ABA, autism support, behavior support, special education, working with individuals with disabilities, classroom assistance, behavior technician, behavior interventionist, and paraprofessional preferred
- The desire and ability to work with school-aged children with behavioral challenges
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Technically savvy with the ability to complete documentation in a timely manner using a mobile device
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check and all of the appropriate clearances and documentation listed below
Qualifications
- A Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA State Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI Fingerprints
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- TB Screening (must be within 12 months)
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
