About the role
The Classroom Assistant will provide assistance to ensure the smooth function of daily routines, implementation of the early care and education programs, and ensure compliance with mandated adult:child ratios. They will work as part of the Center for Early Childhood Education teaching team.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a licensed child development center.
- Knowledge of appropriate health and safety standards for toileting, food handling and hand washing.
- Knowledge of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
- Knowledge of current philosophies and research in early care and education, Pre-K Guidelines, and Early Literacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to take direction in meeting children's needs, classroom needs and parent needs.
- Physical ability to lift and carry children up to 30 pounds, frequently and as necessary.
- Ability to perform CPR/First Aid on children who have been injured and may be unable to stand up and/or walk.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in early childhood education.
- Current work authorization.

- Physical strength to lift and carry children up to 30 pounds.
- Basic first aid and CPR skills.

The full salary range for the part-time Classroom Assistant is $21.92 - $25.10 per hour.
