About the role
The Early Childhood classroom Assistant will help maintain students' academic progress and assist the lead teacher in facilitating lesson plans.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment for young children
- Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities
- Help with daily routines such as snack time and transitions
Requirements
- At least two years of college coursework (60 semester credit hours)
- Classroom experience and/or working with children in a structured environment
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Satisfactory background check including references and fingerprinting clearance
Qualifications
- Proficiency with instructional technology
- Flexibility to adapt to a demanding environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive community relations
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
