Classroom Assistant

About the role

The Classroom Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the educational environment at CMC Montessori. They are responsible for creating a safe and engaging space for students while assisting teachers in various classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in daily classroom activities
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized learning environment
• Help manage student behavior and discipline
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills
• Passion for education and child development
• Ability to follow safety protocols

Skills

• Basic computer literacy
• First aid and CPR certification (preferred)
