Classroom Aide/Float

Kirkland Children’s School is seeking a Classroom Aide/Float to support teachers and children across multiple classrooms.

About the role

Our Floats typically work in multiple classrooms and cover teacher absences and lunch breaks. The float may be asked to assist the other teachers in setting up or cleaning up an activity, helping the children remove coats or find belongings, leading them to the playground, setting up nap mats, or other duties.

Responsibilities

• Cover teacher absences and lunch breaks in various classrooms
• Assist teachers in setting up or cleaning up activities
• Help children with coats, belongings, and transitions (e.g., to the playground)
• Set up nap mats and perform other classroom support duties

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older with some high school education or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal resident alien status
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
• Must meet all state requirements for immunizations, first aid, and CPR certification

Pay

$19–25 per hour, depending on education and experience

Schedule

Part-time or full-time, depending on need
