About the Employer

Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. About the role

Substitute classified is an on-call as-needed position. Substitutes may work in a variety of different positions depending on their work experience.

Responsibilities

• Frequently lift 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending and reaching

Requirements

• Physical requirement upon hire: Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs., as well as frequent bending and reaching
• TB clearance required upon hire

Positions and Pay

• Bus Monitor – $17.15 per hour
• Campus Security Assistant – $22.38 per hour (SB1626 and guard card required upon hire)
• Clerical – $17.26 per hour (5-minute 45 wpm net speed typing certificate required)
• Custodian – $19.36 per hour
• Kitchen Worker – $16.90 per hour
• Safety Supervisor – $16.90 per hour
• Instructional Support – $18.86 per hour
• Mechanic – $23.20 per hour (Prior experience required; must pass a mechanic’s test)
