Class C Chinese Immersion Paraprofessional at Scenic Heights, 5 hours and 45 minutes per day (Temporary for 2026-2027 only)

Temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Schedule

• 3.75 hours per day for Kindergarten
• 2 hours per day for 4th/5th grade

Pay

Minimum starting rate: $22.61 (new rate for 2026-2027). View the wage schedule for this position (Appendix A, Class C).

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom and teacher support by working with small groups and individual students in a school-within-a-school Chinese Immersion program under the supervision of the licensed teacher.
• Supervises students in the classroom, lunchroom, and recess settings during the classroom teacher's lunch break and prep period.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English languages.
• Experience working with elementary-age students.
• Evidence of strong math and reading skills.
• Proven positive human relations skills with adults and students.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction and initiative.
• Clear communication in speaking and writing.
• Evidence of a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
