About the role
Interstate Waste Services is now hiring CDL B Rear Load Truck Drivers based out of Ewing, NJ. Safety is our first priority!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
- Transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, making one or more trips throughout the shift.
- Deploy both manual and automatic trucks.
- May be required to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, move and maneuver up to 100 pounds, and mount and dismount the truck multiple times every route.
- Perform highly skilled backing maneuvers essential to successfully perform this job.
- Routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
- Ensure the truck is in compliance with IWS's safety standards as well as OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws, prior to and while operating the vehicle.
Requirements
- 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
- One year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
- Great safety record and clean MVR.
- Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
- Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on reports and records.
- Read and understand a map.
- Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
- Willing and able to work required worked hours as allowed under DOT regulation, including weekend, night, and/or holiday work.
Qualifications

Schedule
Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday hours. Early start time - 5:00am.
