Class B Driver (Salt Lake City)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused CLASS B driver with professional box truck driving experience to operate a 26-foot box truck across the Des Moines, IA area. The role involves collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. Work location: 2950 S 900 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering, and storing medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (up to 26 ft box truck)
• Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50–75 lbs
• Pushing or pulling 100–250 lbs as applicable
• Completing deliveries to schedule and clearly communicating changes or challenges
• Loading and unloading; prioritizing and organizing the truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leadership direction to deliver timely, efficient, and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours, and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting required

Requirements

• Valid DOT medical card
• Delivery experience within a 26-foot box truck
• Driving experience in any industry involving manual handling
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Clean driving record
• Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections
• Confident in road check levels 1 through 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On-time delivery practices

Pay
