Class B Delivery Driver

About the role

We are hiring a Class B Delivery Driver in Indianapolis, IN for our dry-ice logistics operations. This position involves driving trucks to deliver dry ice to customer’s places of business, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and performing pre and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.
• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch.
• Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
• Keep the inside of the truck clean.
• Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No serious violation tickets (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support."
• No DUI on the last 7 years.
