Responsibilities
- Deliver supplies and products to company branches or customers in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain proper documentation and logs of goods hauled (vehicle logs, cargo logs, transfer logs, etc.)
- Ensure proper functionality of company-provided delivery vehicle through regular inspection and maintenance
- Keep current on driving regulations and required certifications
- Report delays or other transportation issues to respective branches or, for customer deliveries, to the client
- Obey traffic laws and company policies and procedures
- Comply with Federal, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver License
- Ability to operate large vehicles
- Ability to navigate to various locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive long distances throughout the day and possibly early morning
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience as a cargo vehicle driver
- Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding freight shipping
- Hazmat Endorsement or willingness to obtain
