Class B CDL Propane Driver

About the role

Local propane delivery with daily home return. Pay range $25–$30 per hour.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of driving experience
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• Hazmat Endorsement Required
• Tanker Endorsement
• Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with computer systems (Ravens)
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive lifting of approximately 40 lbs.
• Occasional lifting up to 60 lbs. and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Bending, kneeling, twisting, crouching, walking, and sitting for long periods

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to commercial and residential tanks
• Maintain DOT physical card and comply with Hazmat and Class B CDL licensing requirements
• Perform leak tests on disrupted service deliveries
• Purge lines of air and light appliances as needed
• Follow and promote safety regulations
• Load and unload bobtail truck
• Maintain accurate paperwork (load records, manifests, delivery tickets)
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and perform weekly lubrication and cleaning
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure delivery and inventory records are accurate
• Work overtime and some weekends during heating season
• Participate in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation
