Class B CDL Propane Driver

About the role

Local deliveries, home daily.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to commercial and residential tanks
• Maintain DOT physical card, Hazmat and Class B (minimum) CDL license compliance
• Perform leak test on disruption of service deliveries
• Purge lines of air and ability to light appliances
• Follow safety regulations and be safety conscious
• Load/unload bobtail truck
• Maintain accuracy in paperwork (load records, manifests, delivery tickets)
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and weekly lubrication and cleaning of truck
• Sustain open communication with dispatch to ensure delivery and inventory records are accurate
• Work overtime and some weekends during heating season
• Participate in 24-hour emergency on-call rotation

Requirements

• 1-3 years driving experience
• Class B Commercial Driver's License
• Hazmat Endorsement Required
• Tanker Endorsement
• Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of computers (Ravens)
• High level of customer service focus
• Ability to work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive lifting of approx. 40 lbs.
• Lifting up to 60 lbs. and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs. (occasionally)
• Bending, kneeling, twisting, crouching, walking, sitting for long periods

Pay

$25-$30 per hour.
