Duties and Responsibilities
- Defense of agency charges of discrimination
- Lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims, including wage and hour class/collective actions
- Advice and counseling involving similar issues
- Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, contract, employment tort, wage and hour, and non-compete cases
Skills and Educational Requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials
- 9+ years of experience in Class Action litigation defense work
- Current admission to the CA State Bar and in good standing
- Experience acting as Lead Counsel
- In-depth understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures and enforcement techniques
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork
