About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC. This position offers a weekly pay rate of $1400 - $1600, with a first 4 weeks of employment guaranteeing $1400.00. The role includes solo miles pay of $0.56 per mile for 1000 - 2500 miles per week, solo stops pay of $21.00 per stop for 15 - 25 stops per week, and a sign-on bonus of $1250 after 30 days and another $1250 after 90 days. Additionally, there's a $65 per night stipend for 3 - 5 nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Able to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Pay

• $1400 - $1600 per week
• First 4 weeks of employment is a guarantee of $1400.00
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.56 per Mile with 1000 - 2500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $21.00 per Stop with 15 - 25 Stops per Week
• Sign On Bonus: $1250 after 30 days and $1250 after 90 days

• Robust backhaul program offering additional miles, $50 for pickup and $50 for delivery
