Class A Transfer Driver

Redwood Waste Solutions, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a motivated Class A Driver to support transfer routes in Fort Bragg, CA. We offer competitive benefits, growth opportunities, and a decentralized structure that values individual initiative and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a transfer truck on specified routes.
• Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, such as loading and unloading, occasionally without helpers.
• Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Working Conditions

• Extensive physical activity requiring strenuous work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
• Exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts; basic safety precautions required.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, including wet/humid environments, fumes, and vibration.
• Moderate noise levels.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM start time with 8–10 hour days. Occasional Saturdays may be required.
