About the Role
As a Driver, Shuttle, you will transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and return with full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safe and timely deliveries in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Report all safety issues and/or required repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report all safety hazards.
- Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Ensure all required route paperwork is with the tractor trailer load and available upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to the predetermined route schedule.
- Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas; ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers; complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily records of hours of service and log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one.
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (60 to 90 pounds) throughout the shift.

Pay
Starts at $24/hr.
Schedule
4-day work week starting Sunday night at 8:00 PM. No touch freight.
