About the role

The role of a Class A CDL Driver at Ascending Eagle involves operating a flatbed tractor-trailer to ensure the safe, timely delivery of cargo while adhering to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Masterfully operate a Class A tractor-trailer to ensure all cargo reaches its destination safely and on schedule.
• Expertly secure and protect all flatbed loads, maintaining the integrity of the product from origin to destination.
• Perform diligent pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the fleet remains in peak operating condition.
• Maintain precise delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel usage in full compliance with DOT regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide a seamless, high-touch delivery experience.
• Adhere to all federal and state traffic laws and immediately report any mechanical concerns or incidents.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean, professional driving record.
• 2+ years of proven success in regional or long-haul trucking.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and proficiency with GPS systems.
• Physical readiness to handle the physical requirements of flatbed hauling, including securing heavy loads.
• Character traits of a self-motivated professional who works well independently but understands the value of being a team player.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance for both yourself and your equipment.
