Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Truck Driver in Brookshire, TX, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with daily home time.
Pay
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.678 per mile with 1,900 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $20.00 per stop with 5 stops per week
- Loyalty Bonus: $5,000 paid out over a 6-month period
- Earnings: $1,440 or more weekly
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- Start time ranges from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM depending on load
- Home daily
Route & Equipment
- Local solo routes to surrounding areas
- Tractor: Day cab, manual transmission, 36 months or newer
- Trailer: Dry Van (28' & 53’)
- Freight: No-touch furniture
- Endorsements: Doubles experience and endorsement required at time of interview
- 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Note: Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and customer-specific badging or background requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
