About the Role

Food and food service delivery Drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, while also serving as the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a tractor trailer on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight/drive-and-drop routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products safely and on time, in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues or needed repairs.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules; unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy.
  • Verify deliveries with customers and obtain proper signatures; collect payments (cash or checks) where required.
  • Load customer returns onto trailer, secure trailer doors, and ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked/secured at all times.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns; complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload equipment/materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily records of hours of service and log entries in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers; secure all equipment and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Communicate and interact professionally with vendors and coworkers to answer questions accurately and timely.
  • Function as a team member and perform any assigned duties to best serve the company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL-A.
  • 21+ years of age.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid/current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move/stack product cases/freight ranging from 10–90 pounds throughout the shift.

Pay

Starting wages between $68K–$72K (includes hourly base pay, component pay, and overtime). Annual merit increase.

Schedule

  • 4-day work week (Tuesday–Friday).
  • 4:00 AM start time.
  • 3-day weekends (home daily).
