About the role

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition while serving as the face of our company and building lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products safely and on time in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to answer questions accurately and promptly.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues or needed repairs.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company safe driving guidelines, and report safety hazards immediately.
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly, including freight documentation and hours-of-service logs.
  • Deliver customer orders according to predetermined schedules; unload products and transport items into designated storage areas.
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and follow company policy for removing damaged orders.
  • Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and collect payments (cash or checks) where required.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer, secure trailer doors, and ensure all equipment and freight are locked or secured.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork, and perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock, and trailer.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and stack product cases/freight weighing 10–90 pounds throughout the shift.

Schedule

Home daily, Tuesday–Saturday with AM and PM shifts available.

Pay

Up to $95,000 per year.
