About the role

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, while also serving as the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight/drive-and-drop routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products safely and on time, following DOT regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer, and report any safety issues or required repairs.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safe driving guidelines, and immediately report safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; verify counts and customer invoices.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes, unload products, and transport items into designated storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and follow company policy for removing orders.
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and collect payments (cash or checks) where required.
• Load customer returns onto the trailer, secure trailer doors, and ensure all equipment is locked/secured.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork, and perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock, and trailer.
• Complete daily records of hours of service and log entries per federal, state, and company requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A and at least 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
• Valid/current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
• Able to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move/stack product cases/freight weighing 10–90 pounds throughout the shift.

Pay

First-year pay up to $65K (including base hourly, component, and overtime pay) with annual merit increases.

Schedule

• 4-day work week (Tuesday–Friday).
• 3-day weekends (Saturday–Monday).
• Day shift with a 4:30 AM start time.
• Local route with home daily.
