Pay
$33.94/hour starting pay, increasing to $35.63/hour after 1 year. Quarterly Safety Incentive bonus: $250/quarter, with potential to earn up to $1,000 annually based on eligibility.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Dayshift.

About the Role
Driving a tractor-trailer between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight.
Responsibilities
- Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
- Transport freight between terminals.
- Load and unload trailer, either individually or with assistance of dockworkers.
- Use mechanic freight handling equipment where available and appropriate.
- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
- Secure freight through strapping or other methods.
- Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
- Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Drive tractor-trailer in all conditions in accordance with Federal regulations, including hours of service limitations.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver's logs.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 23.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
- Possess or obtain Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements on a current valid CDL issued by the resident state.
- Only one valid CDL issued by the resident state of the driver.
- Provide information on all licenses held within the previous 36 months.
- No record of DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving within the previous 5 years.
- Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen.
- Consent to a pre-employment drug screen and provide a negative result.
- Provide negative controlled substances and alcohol results from prior employer(s) for the past three-year period.
- No prior evidence of controlled substance use or refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test within the past three-year period.
- Consent to a 10-year check on work history; gaps of 30 days or more must be explained.
- Ability to read and write in English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Gripping of various sizes and weights of up to 100 pounds.
- Lifting of up to 100 pounds from ground level to 45"; lifting at waist level or 36”.
- Front carry up to 100 pounds for 250 feet.
- Push/pull up to 60 pounds of horizontal force.
- Sitting up to 10 hours per day.
- Standing and walking frequently.
- Climbing, squatting, crouching, balancing, or kneeling occasionally; crawling rarely.
- Reaching frequently for shifting gears, moving freight, loading/unloading trailers, and turning the steering wheel.
- Grasping and handling frequently for loading/unloading freight, opening/closing trailer doors, and operating vehicle controls.
- Critical to speak with coworkers and customers.
- Constant use of vision for driving, reading maps, and inspecting the truck.
- Occasional use of smell to check for leaks.
- Frequent use of hearing to detect unusual or warning sounds.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, wetness, dust, gas, fumes, or chemicals may occur.
