Class A City Driver

Role Overview

Seeking a Class A City Driver responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver freight. Key duties include loading and unloading trailers, securing cargo, inspecting vehicles for safety, and complying with federal and state regulations, including Hazardous Materials handling. The role involves frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying freight, with adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of two years of verifiable interstate driving experience or one year plus an approved driving school diploma.
• Passing a company driving test and obtaining required endorsements (Haz-Mat and Tanker within 90 days).
• No recent license suspensions or serious traffic violations; limited violations in past 36 months.
• Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and consent to background checks.
• Able to read, write in English, and perform basic math skills.
• Willing to use driver-facing event recorders for safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all legal and safety requirements.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle safety and report defects.
• Secure freight using appropriate methods.
• Maintain accurate records including driver logs and compliance documentation.
