Class A CDL Route Driver

As a Class A CDL Route Driver for Darling Ingredients, you collect and transport raw materials from customers—ranging from small butchers, grocers, and restaurants to large slaughterhouses and food processors—back to our Mason City, IL facilities and transfer stations.

About the role

• Drive a straight truck or tractor-trailer along a daily route, visiting multiple customers.
• Manage your route using an onboard computer (OBC) and maintain a backup paper log for compliance.
• Keep your truck clean and complete a daily vehicle condition report.
• Provide professional service to all customers while following laws and regulations.
• Return home every night.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Valid Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Customer service skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Highly organized with strong time management.
• Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations and adapt to changes.
• Experience operating a commercial vehicle in route delivery and truck hydraulics preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time, local routes with home every night.
• Opportunity for regular overtime.
