Class A CDL Relief Driver $35/hour!

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Relief Driver to join our team. This position is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and involves driving mobile medical imaging equipment to various medical facilities across 25 states. The primary responsibilities include transporting the mobile unit to customer locations, maintaining the vehicle, assisting with patient transport, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Transports the mobile unit to customer locations.
• Maintains the truck and trailer, including checking and maintaining fire extinguishers, patient lift, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Schedules and documents preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Inspects the truck before and after each trip and submits a report indicating truck conditions.
• Makes sure to provide backup coverage for open positions, leaves of absence, vacations, and unplanned absences.
• May assist the technologist with transporting patients from the facility to the mobile unit and back.
• Travels 100% of the time.

Qualifications

• One year recent truck driving experience.
• Must be 23+ years of age.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Clean MVR (no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years).
• No major violations in the last 5 years (reckless driving, DUI, etc.).
• No felonies in the last 5 years.
• No major preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
• Pass DOT Background Check including drug screen.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently, make decisions, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in using ELD (can train in ELD).
• CDL - Class A, mandatory education.
• CPR, Hepatitis B, TB, and other vaccinations.
• Valid DOT medical card.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
• Climb up and down stairs.
• Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Push and pull wheelchair.
