Class A CDL Driver - $35/hourly!

About the role

Drive the mobile medical imaging equipment to healthcare facilities in South Hill, VA, Tappahannock, VA, Colonial Heights, VA, and New Kent, VA. This full-time position travels 100% of the time and operates on a flexible schedule within the region to provide backup coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transports the mobile unit to customer locations.
• Maintains the truck and trailer, including checking and maintaining fire extinguishers, patient lift, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Schedules and documents preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Inspects the truck before and after each trip and submits a report indicating truck conditions.
• Maintains driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of recent truck driving experience.
• Must be 23+ years of age.
• Clean MVR with no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No major violations in the last 5 years (e.g., reckless driving, DUI).
• No felonies in the last 5 years.
• No major preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
• Must pass DOT background check, including drug screen.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• CDL - Class A license.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.

Skills

• Ability to access job-related internet websites and email.
• Fluent in the use of ELD (training available).

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
• Climb up and down stairs.
• Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Push and pull a wheelchair.
