About the role

We are looking for a full-time Driver/Technologist Assistant who will drive mobile medical imaging equipment to customer locations and perform patient care duties such as preparing the imaging room, escorting, and transporting patients under the direction of a licensed technologist.

Schedule

Our standard work week is five days a week, Monday-Friday, though you may not be scheduled all five days. The position does not have a permanent fixed schedule as routes are subject to change. You will be required to work alternative schedules within the region to provide backup coverage for leaves, vacations, or unplanned absences on unscheduled days.

    • Monday: Sierra Vista, AZ (every other week)
    • Tuesday: Green Valley, AZ (every other week)
    • Wednesday: Las Cruces, NM
    • Thursday: Las Cruces, NM
    • Friday: El Paso, TX
  • Week 2
    • Tuesday: El Paso, TX (every other week)
    • Wednesday: Las Cruces, NM
    • Thursday: Las Cruces, NM
    • Friday: El Paso, TX

This position travels 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Transport the mobile unit to customer locations.
  • Maintain the truck and trailer, including checking and maintaining fire extinguishers, patient lift, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
  • Schedule and document preventive maintenance as necessary.
  • Inspect the truck before and after each trip and submit a report indicating truck conditions.
  • Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
  • Assist the technologist with duties including transporting patients from the facility to the mobile unit and back.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year of recent truck driving experience.
  • Must be 23+ years of age.
  • FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.
  • Clean MVR with no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years.
  • No major violations in the last 5 years (e.g., reckless driving, DUI).
  • No felonies in the last 5 years.
  • No major preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Must pass DOT background check including drug screen.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • CDL - Class A
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to access job-related internet websites and email.
  • Fluent in the use of ELD (training available).

Health Requirements

To ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, the following vaccinations, titers, or declinations are required:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Hepatitis B Series
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • Annual Influenza vaccine
  • COVID-19 vaccination, if required by facility policy
  • Tuberculosis screening (annual or per facility guidelines)

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Climb up and down stairs.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Push and pull a wheelchair.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.
