Class A CDL Driver - Multiple Endorsements
About the role
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Frederick, Maryland. This regional solo position delivers to VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NYC, and DC using day cabs, sleepers, or 26' straight trucks with a variety of trailers including 48'–53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, Conestoga, curtainside, and containers. Freight involves a mix of touch and no-touch loads, and equipment may include manual pallet jacks, rollers, lift gates, and Moffetts.
Trucks are 36 months or newer, equipped with 24/7 roadside maintenance, and drivers fuel at over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities.
Pay
- $2,000 average weekly pay; top 10% earn $100,000+ annually
- Hourly pay: $29.00 base + bonus pay for endorsements
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- $50 per diem per night
- $1,000 annual tenure bonus every year
Schedule
Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility required.

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- 1 year of flatbed experience and safe load securement experience (strapping, tarping, chaining)
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
- Endorsements required: Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
