Class A CDL Driver - Local

About the role

We are currently seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team. This position offers a flexible schedule with day shifts and local routes, ensuring you'll be home every day. As a delivery driver, you will build strong relationships with customers and deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.

Responsibilities

• Unload cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler
• Drive safely and efficiently to ensure timely deliveries
• Build positive relationships with customers and fellow team members
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Successfully pass a drug test assessing drug usage (including marijuana)
• Pass a background check
• Have a clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent for employment

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
• Experience with drug testing and background checks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

The starting pay for this position is a guaranteed minimum of $1200 per week, with daily base pay and component pay for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered.

Schedule

This position offers a 5-day work week between Monday and Saturday, with start times between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM until the route is finished.
