Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver (611)

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
• Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
• Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine material placement and unload materials
• Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials, as assigned
• Make both ground and rooftop deliveries

Requirements

• Valid CDL – Class A required
• Clean driving record for a minimum of five years
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (most common cargo is 70-pound bundles of shingles)
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
• Pre-employment and random drug screens required

Qualifications

• Flatbed and/or box truck experience preferred
• Semi tractor and trailer experience preferred
• Trailer-mounted forklift experience preferred
