About the role

Pratt Industries is a sustainable packaging company producing corrugated boxes for major brands like Domino’s Pizza, Home Depot, Amazon, and Hello Fresh. As a Clamp Truck Operator on the 3rd shift, you will support the corrugator team by operating a clamp truck to supply paper material, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a clamp truck to move rolls and organize the work-in-process area.
  • Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping and trash removal.
  • Manage roll room inventory, presentation, and daily stock reconciliation.
  • Report damaged rolls, dress rolls as needed, and complete daily stock takes/cycle counts.
  • Manage butt rolls and complete tasks associated with the Preventative Maintenance program.
  • Ensure correct delivery of roll stock and remove waste from docks and corrugator as needed.
  • Provide backup support to the Roll Handler and maintain sufficient paper supply to prevent corrugator downtime.
  • Adapt to scheduling changes based on customer needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience operating a lift truck is preferred.
  • Successfully completed training programs for powered industrial truck operation.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, factory orders, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in English and Metric systems.
  • Ability to read English and Metric tape measures.
  • Problem-solving skills for practical situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
