About the role
As a Clamp Operator at Electrolux, you will be responsible for off-loading trailers and containers, receiving product into the warehouse, ensuring proper storage of product, and loading trailers/railcars with the correct product for each customer using clamp equipment. You will also ensure all inventory transactions are completed correctly and in a timely manner using RFS or computers. This role is based in our Fairburn, GA location and supports the production line following production needs. This position does not offer visa sponsorship at this time.
Shift: Monday–Friday, starting at *:00am and ending at 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Use clamp equipment to transport products to and from locations safely and in a timely manner.
- Off-load trailers and load trailers with the correct product per customer requirements while using clamp equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper storage of product and complete correct inventory transactions.
- Sort, pack, wrap, strap, and label products as per customer requirements and company procedures.
- Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic, following established safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain forklift/clamp equipment by reporting breakdowns and recommending repairs to your supervisor; perform daily pre- and post-inspections.
- Follow the production schedule to determine material requirements, movements, shipments, and deliveries.
- Record information regarding movement, supplies, materials, and finished products.
- Execute all steps of the customer order filling process efficiently and accurately; monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
- Adhere to Regional Distribution Center Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Safety, Units shipped, On-time delivery, Inventory accuracy, and Scrap.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in forklift operation and distribution warehouse activities.
- Clamp operation experience required.
- Complete knowledge of warehousing, shipping, and inventory control policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Able to team lift packages greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
- Able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
- Able to spend long periods of time on your feet.
