Claims Team Lead

Duties

  • Maintain claims turnaround times, quality control and production standards.
  • Monitor the daily workflow of the department.
  • Assist with mail operations, pre-edit/scanning processes.
  • Track staff performance audits.
  • Complete staff training.
  • Process Medicaid claims.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Claims and Customer Service inquiries and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to type 30 WPM.
  • Problem resolution skills to answer internal and external inquiries, and questions or problems raised by department personnel or external customers.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent Human Relations skills to interact with staff, other departments, and external customers.
  • Self-start with high organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience/skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with operation and application of personal computer, as well as Word and Excel.

Additional Qualifications for Consideration

  • College degree.
  • Dental terminology and experience.
  • Dental office experience.
  • Team lead or management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC's, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective human relations skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Analytical and investigative abilities and individual initiative.
