Claims Supervisor
About the role
Repwest Insurance is seeking an experienced Property Damage Claims Supervisor to lead and develop a team of claims professionals responsible for the investigation and resolution of property damage claims. As a Property Damage Claims Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of a team of Claim Adjusters, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company standards and applicable Department of Insurance regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about coaching employees, driving performance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Train and mentor adjusters on company policies, procedures, claim handling best practices, and effective desk management.
- Conduct daily claim file reviews to ensure compliance with established procedures and provide guidance on claim resolution strategies.
- Review and approve claim payments, settlements, and denial letters.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to ensure productivity, quality, and timeliness standards are met.
- Investigate and address customer complaints, identifying and implementing effective resolutions.
- Prepare written responses to formal complaints submitted through regulatory and consumer agencies, including the Department of Insurance and Better Business Bureau.
- Establish, communicate, and monitor performance expectations through regular evaluations and management reporting.
- Analyze performance metrics and trends to identify development opportunities and improve team results.
- Review and approve employee timecards and attendance records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience handling and/or supervising auto liability claims.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Adjuster License within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
