About the Opportunity
The Claims Specialist plays a critical role on the global Claims and Incident Management team by managing and investigating cyber, technology errors & omissions, and miscellaneous professional lines claims. This position connects incident response experiences with the organization's mission to build cyber resilience for clients, influencing risk management and loss reduction.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a dedicated claims portfolio.
- Conduct thorough investigations and manage negotiations.
- Recommend accurate claim reserves based on insurance contract expertise.
- Collaborate with internal security and technology teams to provide incident response and preventative services.
- Manage external service providers during incidents to minimize losses.
- Maintain detailed file documentation.
- Establish data and analytics feedback loops with Underwriting to improve risk selection.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in claims handling, claims advocacy, or cyber insurance coverage.
- Ability to evaluate primary and excess coverage and manage complex cases.
- Clear communication skills with insureds, brokers, vendors, and underwriters.
- Expertise in third-party claims handling, especially in Technology Errors & Omissions and Miscellaneous Professional Lines.
- Established connections within cyber broking, incident response, or cybersecurity sectors.
Pay
Compensation range: $100,000—$130,000 USD
