Responsibilities
- Analyze and process low to mid-level auto and transportation claims.
- Assess damage, make payments, and ensure claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy.
- Develop and maintain action plans to meet state required contract deadlines and resolve claims promptly.
- Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage vehicles.
- Communicate claim actions and processing with insureds, clients, and agents or brokers as needed.
- Maintain professional client relationships.
- Perform coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
- Support the organization's quality programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Secure and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for the position.
- Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
- Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to effectively negotiate first and third party claims.
- Knowledge of total loss processing, State salvage forms and title requirements, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations.
