Claims - Casualty Litigation Specialist II-IV

About the role

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies are seeking a Casualty Litigation Specialist to join their service-oriented and ethical team. This position is part of the Headquarters Claims Department and offers a hybrid work environment with an 80/20 split between in-office and remote work. Relocation packages are available for eligible candidates relocating to Fairfield, OH.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and defense strategies in assigned states and claims
• Evaluate claims and set reserves in excess of $100,000
• Participate in coverage analysis for assigned claims
• Provide technical direction and support to field claims associates
• Prepare reports and other written correspondence for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in mediations, seminars, field unit meetings, and complete other tasks as needed
• Travel as required

Requirements

• Preferred 5 years prior casualty claim handling experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in coverage and risk transfer analysis
• Experience in detailed analysis of facts relevant to an evaluation of coverage, liability, and damages
• Able to multitask and maintain a positive demeanor

Qualifications

• PREFERRED: CPCU, AIC, AIM designations, or other relevant education

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in legal and insurance terminology

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
