About the role

As a Claims- Appraiser - Property Damage, you will be responsible for evaluating property damage claims submitted by clients or third-party adjusters. This includes assessing the extent of damage, documenting evidence, and providing detailed reports to facilitate fair settlements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate property damage claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Document all relevant evidence and gather necessary documentation from clients and third parties.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining the extent of damage and recommended settlement amounts.
  • Communicate with clients, third-party adjusters, and other stakeholders to resolve disputes and ensure timely claim resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, construction, or business).
  • At least 3 years of experience in property damage appraisal or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance claims processes and industry standards.
  • Experience with property damage assessment tools and software.
  • Understanding of local building codes and construction practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
