A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Claims Analyst to join its team at the corporate office located in Houston, TX. Responsibilities Receive notice of work-related injuries and record them in the company’s claims management system. Follow up with clients to obtain missing information. Enter all new claims that qualify as recordable incidents into G&A’s payroll system (HRP) for OSHA record keeping purposes. Provide assistance to employees/supervisors/managers with completion of workers’ compensation forms. Report claims to company’s workers’ compensation carrier. Complete three-point contact (client, treating doctor & injured worker) on all claims, where appropriate. Obtain injured worker and/or witness statements, when needed. Investigate and pursue subrogation opportunities. Assist in coordinating medical treatment for the injured employee ensuring the employee is sent by the employer to an approved network medical facility. Ensure post-accident drug testing for all employees requiring medical treatment is completed. Coordinate medical treatment for the injured employee. Ensure post-accident drug testing for all injured employees is completed. Authorize/deny medical treatment. Review and process medical bills for payment for first aid claims. Work with third party bill auditing vendor. Provide workers’ compensation carrier with necessary forms (ie, wage statement, return to work, etc.) Maintain diary system to review all open claims on a periodic basis. Participate in quarterly file reviews with the workers’ compensation carrier. Ensure all invoicing of expenses incurred on the claim and within the client’s deductible, if one exists in the contract, is billing in a timely manner. Assist Risk Team members in preparation of Loss Runs when needed. Qualifications Able to work with various software applications. Experience in the Insurance Industry as asset. Good grammatical and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to use good judgment and strong ethical standards. Good customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills. Current workers’ compensation license in the state of Texas a plus. The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards.
