Claims Analyst
Responsibilities
Evaluating claims for mechanical, electrical, or pressure system breakdown events.
Investigating the equipment loss claimed.
Establishing contact with all pertinent parties involved.
Conducting research of equipment claimed.
Providing recommendations with Partner Company and insured (if applicable) for either settlement or declination of the submitted claim.
Adjusting homeowner claims with an occasional commercial or farm loss.
Occasionally assisting in data entry/clerical duties such as establishing new losses in the FM Boiler Re claims database.
Qualifications
- Education: College degree or equivalent job experience
- Experience: Experience in the Equipment Breakdown Insurance Industry or prior experience in claims adjustment in similar or non-related insurance arena.
- Skills/Knowledge: Must have or must obtain state adjuster licenses. Strong relationship management and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Must be analytical and detail oriented. Must have integrity and exhibit a team-oriented attitude while establishing trust and credibility. Able to process information quickly and apply it to current business situations. Able to operate in a paperless environment.
