Claims Analysis Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Intake new health insurance claims
• Acquire, review, and organize additional data required for claim analysis
• Analyze claims using established claim analysis templates and internal tools
• Identify missing or incomplete claim information and assist in follow-up efforts
• Assist with improving and streamlining the claims intake and analysis process
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient and accurate claim review

Experience and Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail
• Coursework or background in biology, health sciences, or medical-related fields preferred
• Basic understanding of health insurance or medical claims preferred
• Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Aptitude for working with computer systems and learning new software and procedures
