Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims
  • Apply knowledge of policies and insurance regulations to determine coverage, liability, and damages
  • Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls, written correspondence, and electronic media, tailoring each interaction to the specifics of the claim
  • Manage work through task-driven queues in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Support customers with personalized, caring, and simple interactions

This is a hybrid role, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. During training, you may spend more time in-office. Hours may vary based on business needs, including flexible shifts, overtime, or irregular hours.

You may be considered for multiple teams based on your skills, including:

  • Auto Injury: Bodily injury, uninsured/underinsured, and property damage claims involving injuries
  • Personal Injury/Medical Payments (PIP/MPC): First-party medical coverage for auto accident injuries
  • Special Investigative Unit (SIU): High-volume, complex auto and property claims with potential fraud indicators
  • Auto Property Complex: Mid-to-high complexity property damage claims without personal injury
  • Auto Total Loss: Settling claims for totaled vehicles
  • Auto Weather Catastrophe: Weather-related auto claims
  • Property Team: Low-severity home and renters claims (theft, minor weather, or other property losses)
  • Boat, Commercial, Farm/Ranch Unit (BCFR): Commercial and boat claims
  • Fire Property Stewardship: Property claims from weather and non-weather incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a Claim Specialist in auto and/or property claims, including:
    • Proficiency in CCC, Xactimate, XactContents, and other estimating/evaluation software
    • Strong knowledge of auto/property insurance policies, coverage, and claim handling
    • Familiarity with state/local regulations and compliance requirements
    • Ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements

Employees must complete all required training, including proficiency exams, licensing, and background checks. Additional assessments may be required for candidates who previously tested or for bilingual Spanish proficiency.

  • Compensation: Based on a 38:45-hour work week. Starting salary ranges from $63,089.65 to $83,535.93 annually, with potential for raises and bonuses up to 15% of base salary. Bilingual Spanish proficiency may qualify for additional compensation.
