About the Opportunity

The Claim Specialist plays a vital role within the cyber claims team, focusing on managing complex cyber, technology, and media insurance claims. This position supports both claims handling and underwriting teams by coordinating with various vendors and partner carriers. The role contributes directly to protecting clients from cyber risks by ensuring effective claim response and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake of cyber events and coordinate with breach counsel, forensic investigators, and other vendors
• Participate in after-hours claim intake and incident response as needed
• Evaluate claims and recommend accurate reserves
• Maintain detailed file documentation in the claims system
• Analyze liability, damages, and insurance coverage issues
• Draft coverage letters
• Oversee and track third-party vendor work and expenses
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, insureds’ representatives, and vendors
• Identify settlement opportunities to maximize outcomes
• Collaborate on defense and resolution of claims
• Provide data-driven support to underwriters
• Assist business development with marketing support
• Liaise daily with partner carriers

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cyber claims adjusting experience
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Licensed claims adjuster in state of residence with ability to obtain licensing in California and New York
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Range and Compensation Package

US base salary ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 per year depending on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
