About the Role

Able to read, write, add and subtract whole numbers, understand and follow instructions. This position involves performing a variety of simple routine duties in a battery manufacturing environment, requiring some judgment in carrying out assignments as directed by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of simple routine duties within a single department and/or across various departments throughout the plant, such as using a hand truck to transport material.
• Check with supervisor for job assignments and refer problems to them.
• Perform other routine duties of a similar nature, which may or may not require full-time operation of equipment.
• General facility care and production tasks.

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Frequent visual attention required for trucking, operating equipment, and performing other similar duties.
• Considerable physical effort to handle light, average, and occasionally heavy-weight material; operating simple equipment.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heat, dust, and wet conditions (though not continuous), making the job somewhat disagreeable.
• Exposure to elements varies in number and extent depending on work assignments.
