About the role

This position involves performing various tasks throughout Tarrant County, including pressure washing, carpet cleaning, floor maintenance, and community service supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pressure-washes surfaces using county truck and trailer
• Cleans carpets and furniture using carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment
• Performs event setups for County functions indoors and outdoors
• Moves office furniture
• Strips and wax floors using chemicals and buffing equipment
• Makes deliveries using county vehicles
• Transports, instructs, and supervises community service individuals
• Performs janitorial duties such as mopping, sweeping, and cleaning restrooms using commercial cleaning equipment
• Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs
• Picks up building supplies from central supply
• Checks ground for trash and debris
• Reports items needing maintenance to supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) full-time year of related experience
• Ability to pass a pre-placement physical exam
• Ability to pass a criminal background investigation
• Valid driver license and social security card for security reference check

Qualifications

• Physical demands: lifting, carrying, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, pulling, pushing
• Work environment: rotating shifts, nights, evenings, weekends, holidays
