Civil Transportation Engineer IV

About the role

Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Approves and signs off on work. Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts. Presents complex technical solutions to clients. Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. Participates in development of technical proposals. Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS + six years of relevant or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• MA PE or the ability to obtain. Other New England PEs are also beneficial.
• Direct experience on MassDOT Design Build projects as a Roadway Discipline Lead or key contributor to the final design of the project.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads to support projects in New England.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + six years of relevant or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred: MA PE or the ability to obtain. Other New England PEs are also beneficial.
