Civil Superintendent - Night
About the Role
AECOM Tishman has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Superintendent for our civil construction project in Midtown Manhattan. Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. Responsibilities include ensuring assigned jobsite operations comply with design/specifications, are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
You will interface with all other administrative field staff, field management staff, and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort. May serve as the primary client contact for all jobsite day-to-day activities or coordinate with client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.

Responsibilities
- Organize and direct construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may include a single area, multi-area, or multi-discipline construction project.
- Ensure jobsite operations comply with design/specifications, are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate with field management staff and Project Manager to align efforts.
- Manage construction sequence, subcontractor management, construction documentation, and construction software.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on project scope and progress.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management, or related curriculum with 6 years of construction superintendent experience, or
- AA/AS with 8 years of relevant experience, or
- High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience, or
- Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 years of experience as a construction Superintendent in heavy civil construction projects.
- Experience in excavation and structural construction, caisson support, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams).
- NYC Site Safety Training (SST) Certification.
Physical Demands
The following physical demands are typically required for individuals in construction field roles, with or without accommodation:
- Physical stamina and mobility, including climbing ladders and stairs, using personnel hoists, and moving through various terrain and active construction zones.
- Vision requirements: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Capability to use hands to handle tools and materials, and perform activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Work Environment
Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common, with or without accommodation. This may include:
- Proximity to heavy machinery and elevated work areas.
- Exposure to airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks.
- Moderate to high noise levels depending on the phase of construction.
- Requirement to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and remain alert to ensure safety.
Schedule
This position requires working nights and off shifts for the duration of the project. The role is not hybrid nor remote.
Pay
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $110,305.87 to $204,065.87 yearly.
